Humanitarian aid is simply always important

Last week it was time again. For the next 6 months we were looking for a new project that we can support together with you. The vote on Instagram was very clear. This time the donations should go to an association that surely everyone already knows. The German Red Cross will be supported in the next six months by you and all other Royal Riders through their purchases from us.

Surely you already know a lot about the DRK e.V.! Nevertheless, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce this registered non-profit organization, which was founded by Joachim von Winterfeldt-Menkin in Bamberg on January 25, 1921, in more detail.

In Germany, the DRK is the umbrella organization of the Freie Wohlfahrtspflege with its headquarters in Berlin. It is the national Red Cross Society according to the Geneva Convention and as such part of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement with more than three million members.

The seven principles by which the DRK acts are:

1. Humanity
2. Impartiality
3. Neutrality
4. Independence
5. Voluntariness
6. Unity
7. Universality

Help is always sought everywhere! And so the DRK is positioned in the most diverse areas. Not only in civil defense and disaster control as well as welfare and social work, but also in child, youth and family assistance, assistance for the elderly, health promotion, nursing, search services and many other areas. With this abundance of tasks, you can certainly imagine that support, no matter in what form, is always important and needed. Whether it is the donation of money or you want to become a member. But also honorary positions are gladly given, as well as volunteer services.
